Perfect for shadow on lower lash line
I've recently purchased several different eyeliner brushes looking for something to apply shadow to the lower lash line without making a mess, and something the ideal width. If I'd discovered this one first I could've saved a bit of money - this one is perfect for exactly that. The width is ideal, not so fine that I don't get a smoke effect, and not so thick that have to clean up with a cotton bud afterwards. Plus it is the softest brush. It's also great for adding a smokey effect with powder over eyeliner on the upper lid.

Perfect smudge brush
I bought this to replace an old Laura mercier smudge brush I’d had about a decade. I’ve got quite a few hourglass brushes and love the quality. This one didn’t disappoint either. I use it to smoke out my wing linger and it does the job well without any “drop out” under my eyes. Picks up just the right amount of eyeshadow. Hoping this will last me a while to justify the price.

Expensive but effective
I've been using this to apply creamy eye shadows rather than the intended eye liner. it's got reasonably stiff bristles but it's good for applying creamy eyeshadows. It's possibly a little on the expensive side and there are similar brushes that are slightly cheaper but this feels like a quality brush and will last and last

Great Brush
I have quite a few Hourglasses brushes and this is my favourite for eyes. The brush is short and dense, so I can easily apply eyeshadow over the top lashes and under the bottom lashes to create very delicate of heavy shadow. If you have to choose between this one and the number 10 angled brush, go for this one as it's more versatile.

Great little detail brush
Ok, it is very expensive for a detail brush, given its limited abilities. But I have long searched after a tiny brush to line my undereyes with shadow and did not find better at any price point. It is tightly packed so as to offer plenty of control, yet soft so as to not hurt your eyes or tag the skin. It places color brilliantly under the eyes (you would still need a blender to blow it out), and it does a great job at tightlining the lid, defining the outer v, and even brows. It feels as a luxury item should feel- heavy and sturdy. It washes well and seems quite heavy-duty (I often dropped it:)). If you need it for the tasks I mentioned, I think you are going to be very happy with it!
