Transparent powder

a good setting powder but not it for me
I went back and forth over giving this 3 stars or 4. Initially I didn't like it at all, to the point where I considered returning it. I thought it made my skin look dry and a little cakey, which is a look I loathe. But I gave it another go because I suspected the underlying issue was that when I applied my tinted moisturizer when my skin was slightly too dry and needed a hit of moisture. It turns out I was right and this powder actually performs quite nicely. I don't care for the little sponge at all and always use a powder brush. It's very firmly pressed so it seems like very little is coming on to your brush but that's all you need. That said, I don't love it as much as the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder or MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. However, the latter very easily breaks when dropped (I've had to replace it twice in the past year) whereas this one is a little more travel friendly. This sets your base and gives skin a "finished" look that is radiant but not shiny. I have fair skin with a neural undertone so I wear crystal but I prefer something with a little more colour to it. I'll definitely use this up but it's not an all time favourite for me.
