Silk Canvas

This a back up of the one I got imported from America. I couldn’t wait for the silk canvas to come to UK. Anyway, this primer is lovely for my dry skin, and a little goes a v long way. I find if I use too much, it pills and makeup looks and wears terribly. I get comments on how great my skin looks, when I use this. Not how good my make up looks, but skin. I find that the best compliment, as I prefer people to think I have amazing skin haha. Yes this is expensive, but lit lasts ages and it is prob reasonably economical once you’ve had the initial outlay.

The Silk Canvas Primer Original

Like a lot of other people I'm not too fond of the little spatula that comes with this. My dressing table is chaotic, particularly in the morning when I'm in a rush, and I can never find anywhere to store it properly. However this is a really good primer, it blurs, and extends the life of my makeup. I'm 48 and don't want a primer which is drying, and this isn't. Given the small amount I use each time, I think this is going to last me years.

Excellent primer

This product is a game changer. At first I thought I would find it a bit fiddly with the 'disc' for application. I use this to remove product from the container for hygiene reasons but then warm this with my fingers and apply direct to skin. A little really does go a long way - it truly is a rice grain size amount for the whole face. I find once warmed I can lightly press this into skin and then blend out. It has a blurring effect and smoothes/evens out skin tone. Makes an excellent base for applying makeup and as a solid compact is great for travel. Highly recommend.

Feels amazing to apply, but that's it

I had high expectations for this product, but it has disappointed me a bit. The product smells amazing and feels great on the skin, it has a great consistency... feels incredible lush to apply. But apart from that it doesn't do much. I don't feel like it blurs my pores or diminishes the redness. I also hasn't seen a big difference on my make up application either. Besides that, while the packaging is very luxurious, I feel like the dropped the ball on the applicator. It looks cheaply made, and it comes loose in the box. There is no space to store it like on their creams, so is just a matter of time until it gets lost. All of that combined with it's price point means I won't be repurchasing.

AMAZING

I deliberated over this or the liquid version and the lady in store recommended this version - it does take some getting used to and I don't really like the coin like spatula that comes with it - hence knocking off one star. I prefer to use my fingers - but it does glide on effortlessly and is amazing at smoothing the skin and blurring blemishes and pores - also so much easier to travel with!
