Do not buy - causes terrible skin reactions
I had previously used the Ordinary's Salicylic Acid for small blemishes and found it really effective. However the formula appears to have changed and I have never had such a bad reaction to a product. I don't have sensitive skin and yet this product (two separate bottles) have resulted in a horrible, almost burn-like, reactions. One reaction was so bad I had to go to A&E because it had affected my eyes. I have patch tested it on small areas of skin and it brings up the same raised, red swelling every time. I don't know what they have done to the formula of this product but I will not be buying it again and I would certainly not recommend it.

Worst contact dermatitis ever experienced
I bought this a few months ago, and patch tested before use and followed all the given guidelines. At first, I saw little to no change but kept on using it. Last week, I woke up with a rash around the eye area, which later became a full blown inflammation of the entire eye area. My eyes became swollen to the point where I had trouble closing them, and ended up having the go to the emergency room. Aside from that, my skin has been left irritated and bumpy (especially around the eye area and jawline - despite not having applied the product in either place.) After seeing so many reviews of people having experienced the same horrible experience that I have, I would strongly recommend you don't buy this product!!

Stay away from this product!
I put this 2% salacylic acid serum on my face for the 3rd time two days ago in the evening. I immediately felt a burning sensation and tried washing it off with cold running water and used cold compressions to relieve the burning sensation. Now almost 48h later my skin is still burning and itching, and my whole face is swollen to the point where my iphone’s facial recognition doesn’t work. I am on my second day of allergy medication and Fenistil gel to relieve the burns, I’ve been indoors for two whole days (apart from a 5 minute run to the pharmacy) out of fear of the sun and frankly not wanting to show my face as i am unrecognisable. I have used this serum twice before at considerable intervals (+8 weeks) without such an extreme reaction, although last time it did eventually cause some peeling of my skin but no swelling or pain. I chose to use salacylic acid serum to combat clogged pores, I had used dr.Fischers salacylic facial wipes years ago with great success, but hadnt found them again for years so therefore i decided to try this product. Since this ordeal I believe this product is too strong for over the counter home use. I advise you to stay away from this product and look for other solutions I’ll include some photos taken days apart to demonstrate the effect this product has had on my face.

Not good for sensitive skin
Wouldn’t recommend for sensitive skin! Was suggested salycilic acid by the dermatologist could help with small comodones (acne bumps) under skin. Only used minimal amount twice and really damaged skin barrier which induced full reaction. Seems to work great for some people but would really caution for sensitive skin which I wasn’t and which it didn’t seem to say.

Great for clogged skin
Have only starting using this but have noticed how hydrated my skin is in the short time of using the product. I struggle with clogged pores what are really visible but this helps them massively! One less insecurity to worry about. I use it 2/3 times a week when I have breakouts and it helps to clear them
