A Veil of Calm
Out of the 3 sprays from Aesop, I love both Olous and Cythera. Both woody scents generate this very comforting veil of calm and meditation. As with Aesop, their scents lean towards smelling more ‘natural’ than ‘perfumey’; I dislike using such terms as greenwashing is such a big problem with all the lies infecting the cosmetic industry but you get the picture. While Cythera has a slight sweetness to its layers, Olous has a dryer profile infused with light florals. Use Aesop sprays on linen, the tops of blankets, on the bed area next to your head pillows or even in the toilet. A cool tip I discovered is hanging those cotton bags provided near your bed and spritzing some on them. If you have a fan circulating air in the room, the scent of these sprays will last you hours. You even get a whiff of them the day after. Try to avoid spraying them in the air (the liquid is rather ‘heavy’ compared to other room sprays) and they don’t last as long without some kind of medium to hold them ie the cloth pouches etc.

Phenomenal
This comes alive when sprayed - it’s fresh, but not overwhelmingly green as the warm notes in it balance nicely. The grapefruit and jasmine lend what I can only describe as a cleanness to the scent. It’s ridiculously calming and even when the place is cluttered, a spray of this manages to make it feel calm and clean and bright again, instantly.

Gorgeous smell
I am sucker for premium beauty, especially scented things so have tried a number of room sprays but while some others smell lovely, I haven’t found one that comes close to this. As others have commented the scent is complex and it really does leave your room smelling great. The one thing to note is that it can leave an oily residue so careful where you spray it.

Gorgeous scent
This was a bit of a splurge and so worth it. Smells gorgeous and also looks lovely on my bathroom shelf. This smell isn’t too strong or overpowering like some the the diptyque room sprays. I would highly recommend as a treat and am going to also get the other scent too! This would also make a lovely new home gift.

Good for the living room
This is quite interesting and complex scent, combining woody and citrus. Depends on your senses, but cedar and cardamom are coming through, not to start with but in the middle. I like that I doesn't smell like a stereotypical toilet spray. Please do try the Cythera version as well if you can, both are fabulous
