About The Brand
Founded in 2006, the Swedish brand creates luxurious scented products to translate the founder’s memories and emotions through each scent. The origin of Byredo’s name stems from the old English word ‘redolence,’ meaning sweet-smelling perfume. After travelling to his mother’s hometown, Byredo’s founder Ben Gorman was stirred by the aromas of spices and incense he discovered, which inspired him to create this luxury range of scented candles and perfumes.
