Wash away the remains of the day with Elemental Herbologys Purify & Soothe Facial Cleansing Balm. This ultra-nourishing cleanser gently dissolves impurities and traces of makeup, enriching the skin with antioxidants and harmonising botanicals. Essential fatty acids, sacha inchi and argan oil soothe dry and inflamed skin, fresh strawberry cells tone and purify, bitter orange peel gently exfoliates and stimulates new cells while angelica, marshmallow and aloe calm dry skin. Cleansing is a pure pleasure with this creamy, botanical balm. Rich in antioxidants and powerful active ingredients, yet gentle enough for dry and reactive skin, it effortlessly melts away makeup and impurities leaving your complexion polished, soothed and bright.

How to Apply

Blend a small amount between your palms and massage onto dry skin in small circular movements, paying particular attention to areas of congestion. Remove with a warm, damp muslin cloth, splash face with cold water and pat dry.

This cleanser came highly recommended to me by one of the lovely SpaceNK ladies when I wanted to change from make up removal wipes, which were too harsh for my sensitive skin. My eyes being my main concern, as they suffer from reactions to a lot of the chemicals found in make up removers and cleansers. This was a joy to use, and even though more involved than just using a wipe, the routine is now something I look forward to after seeing and feeling the fab results. I follow this with the facial soufflé night cream from Elemental Herbology. The cleanser has so far lasted about 3 months and I'm just about due a refill - which I think is worth the price for better skin!!

Having tried samples of the Eve Lom and Emma Hardie I chose this one over both as it made my skin just that extra bit softer. The balm itself is great and you only need a small amount to do your whole face. It takes off all makeup (including waterproof mascara) with ease and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. The packaging is good - keeps it clean even if it is slightly hard to squeeze out the product first. I personally use both the muslin cloth provided and a flannel as the cloth can sometimes feel too rough. Absolutely amazing cleansing balm and incredible value compared to some others.

I'm a big fan of balm cleansers, and having tried quite a few on the market (including the Clinque and Eve Lom ones), I can say that this is the best! The price is reasonable and the product is lovely - it smells herbal, but in a fresh way - and is a real treat to use at the end of the day. It smooths on easily, massages in well and washes off to leave your face clean, but not dry and 'squeaky'. Some balm cleansers can be too heavy and bring you out in spots - but this is oily enough to get rid of every bit of make up, and light enough to not clog your pores. 10 out of 10 - will repurchase!

This will definitely be replacing my regular Elemis cleanser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RobinHoodsBabe from Better than Eve Lom or Liz Earle... It's another of those whiffy, oily cleansers but doesn't ask for quite so much faffing around with cloths and such. Obviously if you do the whole pat pat massage thing with hot and cold water then it will work better. But even without much effort, it's lovely. Really lovely.
