Free of alcohol, parabens and artificial scents or colours, this soothing treatment is formulated for normal to combination skin and has a nourishing and conditioning effect. It contains fig, which has been used for centuries to hydrate and firm the skin, helping to conceal lines and wrinkles; and banana flower, a natural antioxidant long believed to promote a youthful appearance.

Gently massaged into place after cleansing, this light yet luxurious toner helps to clarify and balance the skin, promoting a clear complexion with natural appeal.

It’s astringent and feels refreshing and brightening on the skin but has no alcohol and isn’t as strong as a an acid toner. It claims to be hydrating but am not sure about that. Certainly, it’s not too harsh for sensitive skin but does calm down break outs.

The consistency is just water, which does not leave any feeling of stickiness and heaviness, pleasantly refreshing, softens the skin, leaving a feeling of lightness and lack of fat. By far, this is the most favorite tonic of all that I have tried.

It was a cooling and very refreshing toner, but personally I didn’t feel like it was anything special that I’d purchased myself. It’s good for sensitive skin as it doesn’t have an awful lot of fragrance either, but other brands are just as good.

Lovely gentle scent, and feels very comforting on the skin. The perfect start to my skincare routine morning and night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gentle and Effective I first bought this product 2 years ago as I wanted a gentle but effective toner that did not contain alcohol and that was suitable for ageing skin. This was recommended by an assistant in a Space NK shop and I have been delighted with it ever since. It is extremely gentle and removes any last traces of dirt from the skin after cleansing. It leaves the skin feeling soft and aids absorption of the moisturiser that I apply as part of my normal skincare routine.
