Rated 4 out of 5 by jojocora from Great Retinol Product I received a generous sample size of this product. I find this product to be a great place to start for first time retinol users as the oil does not trigger sensitivity and is easily absorbed by the skin. I was a little bit put off by the blue colour but it rubbed into my skin. I would consider purchasing this product for days where I would like to use a weaker retinol product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AJB123 from Nightmare for my skin I was looking for a relatively mild retinol and had thought that this might be a good option because it contains essential oils as well to help soothe the skin. I am aware that skin can take a while to become accustomed to retinols so I was expecting to have to put up with some flakiness and redness - but I didn't expect to have so many breakouts! My skin became so congested and I had to stop using the product. I've used facial oils before and not had any problems so there must be something in this that doesn't agree with my skin. I've since read up on the ingredients and one thing that I learnt is that the blue colour of the oil is not because of the blue tansy flower mentioned prominently on the bottle but rather an artificial dye added to the product - I don't know if that is what aggravated my skin but it doesn't seem beneficial to add colouring when it's not needed.

It was my first exposure to Retinol, but think i'm ready to use something stronger. Not to sure about the smell but does leave my skin soft and feeling good.

However, I find it somewhat underwhelming in terms of the anti-acne and anti-ageing properties the retinol should be giving. I am not sure whether I'll keep using this as it still works for me or whether I am now going to start using a product with a higher retinol content.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CurlyMoon from I'm on the fence I've been using this facial oil for a while and I'm a bit on the fence about it. There is no doubt that it is a great facial oil. It absorbs well and seems to work some magic overnight - especially as I use the Drunk Elephant retinol cream and really need something to keep my skin hydrated. It's the smell that I'm really not to sure about! There's no two ways about it, it smells funky! Don't really like going to sleep every night with that under my nose. There are definitely other oils out there that are just as good and don't honk!
