Its aroma is somewhere in between herbal and woody, as it gives out a scent that resembles the Indonesian hills. When you first burn the scented candle, make sure you let it burn for at least two hours. This will allow it to burn more evenly the next time.

How to Apply
A well-cared for Diptyque 190g candle will burn for up to 60 hours. Your candle will burn clean and evenly down to the bottom of the glass if you burn it for at least two hours the first time - or until the whole top is liquid with wax. After blowing out your candle, centre and straighten the wick. Trim the wick to about half a centimetre long before relighting the candle. By shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass. Do not place the candle in a wind draught or directly on a glass or marble surface. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Never move or tip a lit candle. Keep out of reach of children.

Trying to work my way through all the different scents, have found two I love the most so far and this is one of them - have also gifted this to friends!

We love using the jars from diptyque candles as glasses after the candles have finished too. I would say it is a great evening scent, it's deep and borderline smells like good men's cologne.

I have a small candle of 35 grams and it really burns for a long time. in 1 hour it only flares up and almost does not smell - but after 1 hour it will open very pleasantly and beautifully with oriental incense

This is on my christmas list - I've always loved patchouli, but it can be very overpowering, so it's lovely to be able to get a version which is rich and complex. Love Diptyque - a true classic, with a long burn time and always gorgeous scent - pricey, but worth it as a treat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful This is absolutely beautiful for fall and wintertime. It smells like sandalwood and musk. It is long-lasting. I would highly recommend it. What I also like it's once the candle is finished you can store your makeup brushes inside or lipliner which looks so luxurious.
