Wash the hair without washing away colour with the Aveda Color Control™ Shampoo, a nourishing shampoo rich in botanicals designed to help reduce colour fade while hydrating the strands.
Delivering cleansing haircare while protecting colour, the shampoo is formulated with naturally derived ‘magnets’ that help to neutralise colour-dulling particles for a more vibrant appearance, while dual charged molecules create a protective shield to prevent water from penetrating and causing colour washout.
The vegan-friendly shampoo uses botanical cleansers to remove dirt and impurities, while apricot oil nourishes the strands to help keep them hydrated and bouncy. Achieve nourished, silky-soft hair scented with the luscious orange, osmanthus, cypress and cedarwood aroma of Aveda’s Pure-Fume™.

Terrible product
Aveda, what have you done? I've been using Colour Conserve for years on my fine, dead straight, semi-permanent coloured hair. I assumed this was its new, improved replacement, but it's just dreadful. Being so straight, I'm lucky that it doesn't take much effort to keep my hair shiny, but this has dulled it beyond belief. It coats it in something nasty-feeling too, no matter how much I rinse. I've tried three times now, using less shampoo, rinsing more, but it makes no difference. It's going in the bin now. What a waste of money. I understand products have to be reformulated from time to time, especially if ingredients are no longer sustainable, but this expensive shampoo (dearer and now only 200ml...) is simply awful.

Appalling product
After 16 years of Aveda purchases, finally a product that is shocking. This shampoo coated my hair with residue, made it dull and created insane amounts of static and gave me a headache. I bought this because I thought it was an improved version of the colour conserve range but it's the absolute opposite!

Very good !
Thought this sounded one up from the colour conserve range which is also very good . I really like it , smells very nice , hair felt clean and highlights vibrant after using just a few times

I would not purchase this again.
I have dry, thick, long highlighted hair and I was trying this new shampoo for the first time. I am not happy with it. No matter how much shampoo I use my hair does not feel clean and the product leaves a residue on the hair that doesn't rinse out.

Disappointing new shampoo
I have used color conserve for years and always buy the 1-litre bottle. Was told it was being discontinued and that color control was replacing it so gave it a try. Very disappointed. It doesn't feel like it is washing my hair. Barely any lather, even on the second shampoo. Once dry, my hair doesn't feel squeaky clean, just claggy. I'm relieved I didn't buy a litre bottle. Please don't discontinue color conserve, Aveda!
