Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent cream La Mer Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream is an excellent and very rich moisturizing cream. But unfortunately, it's too rich and heavy for my taste. I much prefer La Mer's Soft Moisturizing Creme for my dry, but sensitive facial skin. So as not to waste this expensive product, I do use it on my aging hands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for winter I received this cream for Christmas last year and am only halfway through. I have oily/combination skin and was worried it would be too heavy. I do admit that I wouldn’t use this in the summer but it’s definitely my go to cream in the winter months. The texture is thick. When rubbed into the skin it melts into a velvety texture leaving your skin feeling super soft. My only downside is that I feel it leaves too big of a sheen afterwards as if my skin isn’t able to absorb all the product. I have tried using less product but still get the same results. Also I couldn’t give it 5 stars due to being products out there that do the exact same thing for less money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely cream but probably not worth the price tag ... I love Creme de la Mer. It’s not just a moisturiser, it’s an experience. I’m a fiend for luxurious anything and this certainly fits the bill, it makes me feel amazing whenever I use it. The cream is thick but whipped so well, it has a very classic smell and is very moisturising. Personally I think it does need to warmed in the hands before applying. I use it at night and always wake up with plump soft skin. That all being said I have knocked a star off for the price and another for the ingredients. Yes I clearly love it but I wonder if I’m just paying for the experience, which is undoubtedly amazing. I want an INCI that leaves my jaw on the floor for all the right reasons and especially at this price, but Creme de la Mers INCI leaves me abit perplexed. The second and third ingredients are Mineral Oil and Petrolatum, which aren’t exactly show stoppers, there’s a lot of oils but only one anti oxidant and quite a lot of fragrance and preservatives. Now if it was was full to the brim of anti oxidants and peptides I’d give it 5 stars and say it was totally worth the price. If you have the money spare I recommend trying it, buy it, use it, enjoy it, feel like a million bucks!!! But if you’re on a budget and want a thick luxurious moisturiser with powerful ingredients go for Sunday Riley Ice instead.

This product does not warrant the price tag AT ALL - I think we are paying for the holiday homes of the bosses at La Mer! Money much better spent on more technical serums, which can penetrate deeper than this thick moisturising creams - my experience with this cream (even used sparingly) is when you have a slice of bread and your trying to spread cold butter on it - I don't feel as though it's doing anything, although YES using it is a pleasurable experience, but I'd much rather spend the equivalent amount and go for a facial once every 6-8 weeks instead!!

If you have a patch of dry skin, it treats it over night..it does come with a little spatula to scoop it out, which is helpful but also a bit cheap looking for the cost. Yes the price tag is big, but you don’t need much to do the whole face and my skin drinks it in like nothing else
