Since its inception in 1978 Institut Esthederm has been at the cutting-edge of sun protection skincare. It takes an ‘avant-garde’ approach which allows consumers to enjoy the sun while counting on its advanced formulas to strengthen their skin’s own ability to protect itself.
Rated 2 out of 5 by DiDo22 from Please list SPF! Got this as a sample size so was pleased to see the recent sunshine to give it a go instead of my usual moisturiser (which is SPF30) ....that’s when I noticed it doesn’t list the SPF! Disappointing. The fact it said for strong sun hopefully means a minimum of 30 but it’s anyone’s guess. Had enough to cover full face for 3 days and although I liked the fragrance and the fact it absorbed well I didn’t think my skin felt or looked any better in that short time. Hard to judge as perhaps using it for longer would show better results. The SPF missing info just seems crazy on a sun product so low score given.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MarieB from Well, if you MUST tan.... I’m a die-hard SPF wearer. I am fair, freckled, I grew up in Australia. My best friend is an olive-skinned Greek heritage beauty who loves to tan. And we holiday together. So i bought her this as a peace-maker to hopefully give her some protection when she refuses to wear SPF. Pros - she used it, having refused SPF. She has actually repurchased it and uses it as her summer day cream.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jhlondon from Mineral ingredients Got a sample bottle of this in one of the gift with purchases. It does not not what the SPF range is, I can see in the ingredient list that it contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide both of which are key ingredients in physical mineral sun creams so does have protective properties. Does not leave any white cast which is a bonus and very unusual for mineral sun cream, this is fairly light weight, absorbed well and did not break me out, the only thing that slightly puts me off is that Institut estherderm does not note the SPF protection value, I generally always aim for SPF 30 and above only, this one notes it is for strong sun, which I should hope means offers SPF protection of at least 30 but can not tell

Rated 2 out of 5 by Beautylover34 from Use as moisturiser This is such a misleading product, it says it provides sun protection but doesn't state the SPF, so I'm guessing it's really low. And it says it supports safe tanning, when we know there's no such thing. And it says it's an anti wrinkle product, but sun tanning causes wrinkles and aging. I think this is supposed to be for people who like tanning but are getting a little wary of getting too much sun and want a little peace of mind. This absolutely should not be your only sun protection. As a moisturiser it's fine, it smooths the skin and adds a nice gleam without being shimmery, my skin just looks healthy and silky. It doesn't impart any colour. It leaves my skin feeling a little tacky, so I prefer to use this on my body, not my face. It's a little too greasy for my face. I would only recommend this as a moisturiser, not a sunscreen. And even then, there are other moisturisers out there that have better skincare benefits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Prelude from Better as a moisturizer I suggest this is used as facial moisturiser in addition to an spf since the latter isn't stated in the product. This still provides great protection with anti wrinkle properties, paler shades may however need or benefit from the extra touch of spf. It also smells good so no cons from me.
