“The power of contouring is amazing: you can completely change someone’s face to make them unrecognisable. We’re not doing that – we want to strengthen the things we find beautiful.” - Karen Alder, makeup artist

Step 1.

Even out your canvas with a sheer, blendable base, such as BECCA’s Aqua Luminous Foundation.

Step 5.

Apply your darker shade of BECCA Multi Tasking Perfecting Powder right in the eye crease. Then, blend this with your lighter shade, taking it all the way up to the brows. This makes the eyes appear larger and lifted.

Step 2.

It’s time to start contouring. Apply a foundation that’s one shade lighter than your skin tone down the centre of your face and blend it outwards. This will brighten and open up the face.

Step 6.

Lift the under eye area with an illuminating concealer, such as BECCA’s Aqua Luminous Concealer.

Step 3.

Dust BECCA Multi Tasking Perfecting Powder in a shade lighter than your skin tone along the top of the cheekbone and up around the curve of the brow, in a C shape. This subtly lifts the cheekbones.

Step 7.

To 'firm' the jawline, apply your darker powder from beneath the ear to under the chin, starting with a thicker line and tapering towards the chin.

Step 4.

Next, using a fan brush, dust BECCA Multi Tasking Perfecting Powder in a shade darker than your natural skin tone from the bottom of the ear towards the corner of your mouth. A darker shade here will create the illusion of shadow, emphasising the cheekbones above.
