For a light that never goes out, up the eyes with the Surratt Light Matter, a dual-purpose eye shadow to highlight the eye, or as a base for other shadows.

Surratt Light Matter is a cream eye shadow in a subtle yet stunning shade of taupe. Used alone, it is ideal for subtle make-up, helping to create a barely-there, natural look which allows the eyes to appear naturally brighter.

This eye shadow can also be used to prep the eyelids for the application of Surratt’s pressed pigment shadows, where the otherworldly shimmer is encouraged to adhere better to the skin, for a long-lasting look. Applied with the fingers or a brush, this versatile make-up is sure to become a favourite for both everyday and special occasions.

Use the Surratt Light Matter to apply a natural-looking taupe shade to the eyelids or to prep the skin for Surratt’s pressed pigment eye shadows and get a shimmer with no fallout.

Light Matter Eyeshadow is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basically an expensive primer I have a few metallic eyeshadows from another brand and a Halogram colour from the same collection that I wanted to intensify with the cream base. I was going to try the Dark Matter but thought this may be more versatile. On it's own, it's quite thick and gives a good, even coverage at first but creases very quickly for me. It's a really neutral shade that seems to go with most of my makeup collection, but it really needs a powder on top to set it - and then you lose the tone. When I used it with the eye-shadows on top, it had more staying power, but didn't do much more than an cheaper eye primer which I already own. It's a great idea, but the execution doesn't quite work - especially for the price tag. May try Dark Matter at some point to see if I get a better result....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but nothing special This is a pretty pale taupe shade when applied on its own, or intensifies the holographic eyeshadows from the same range when they’re applied on top. It’s nice enough but you can get the same effect from a MAC paint pot. The cream creases after a few hours too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thick and good coverage, but settling into lines Ok, I was not interested in purchasing the topper shades that go with this base, but I was so willing to use it as a cream shadow with a matte topper. I tried it- and found it quite thick and not very slippery- and a bit drying to be honest. It might work wonderful for its intended purpose, but it did not work for the purpose I found for it :)
