Love love love
I absolutely love this candle, it is one of my favourite ones and always a repeat purchase, especially around Christmas time. It burns evenly and has a good throw, filling the room with a subtle fragrance without being overpowering. I usually buy the mini version and it lasts me for a few months.

Gorgeous but could be stronger
I'm pleased with my purchase as the brand itself is iconic and the candle is well-designed and incredibly chic, but I think the scent could be a little stronger. It smells great but is more suited to a smaller room. However, my friend, who I gifted the candle to, was very happy with it.

The perfect gift
I love this scent! The first time I got it, I laughed and thought it doesn’t smell like a library at all but it it gorgeous. The scents also linger even when the candle is not lit. I love the all black signature Byredo design too. I’m bookish. I love reading and spending time at bookshops and libraries. I include libraries when I travel. Most of my friends are too. This is my favourite gift for birthdays, anniversaries and house parties. It’s also a great conversation starter when it’s opened and lighted by the host/hostess when they receive it at the parties. It’s soooooo fancy everyone loves it!

Beautiful scent, BUT you may need a bigger size
This is a very elegant scent, unusual and not too sweet, and the all black look definitely is a plus, but the mini one needs a mini room to really shine. I first lit it in my living room and had to bring it closer to me to get a whiff of the scent. In my bedroom, it was only really noticeable when you walked in and out of the room. In my bathroom for a bath, it was absolutely lovely. I would expect the larger size to do a much better job elsewhere, but not sure it justifies the price. So far, my Diptyque room spray and Aesop incense are far superior products in terms of performance and value for money.
