Beautiful scent with mid longevity
I love amber and I love vanilla - what's not to love! I find as I get older, I am returning to the old fashioned, heavy ambery scents out there. Perhaps I am channelling my late mother or maybe I just feel old enough now. However, Laura Mercier's version, despite the name, is not particularly heavy and that is a good thing. You could wear this to the office and not overpower your co-workers. Ambre Vanille passed my own personal sniff test, i.e. I check how many times I find myself sniffing my wrist to see how it develops. Otherwise, I would wash it straight off. This had a citrus burst to begin with and then it calmed into a beautiful vanilla haze. I kept thinking of the beach at sunset when it is cool and you need a jumper after a long day in the water. It is a very comforting scent.

Gorgeous scent
This is a really good summer scent as it is light with just a small hint of sweetness that is not overpowering. It doesn’t last particularly long so the bottle probably won’t last very long but it’s ideal for warmer weather when a heavy perfume isn’t suitable. It’s also a great accompaniment to the matching body cream.

Nice
For those who like deep, balmy vanillas. It's isn't too different from the previous version. The bottle is nicer, but I think the longevity is shorter. The scent seems a bit lighter, more airy. Nonetheless, it's beautiful and perfect for layering. I recommend using it with the body balm or hand cream.
