Your Questions, Answered

For a youthful flush of colour, focus the blush on the apple of your cheeks. For a lifted effect, go high on your cheekbones and blend upwards and outwards towards your temples. You can even sweep your blush brush over your nose for a pretty sun kissed look!

The easiest way to apply powder blush is with a fluffy or angled brush. When it comes to cream blush or liquid blush, you can use your fingers or a sponge, as well as a brush. Ultimately, there are lots of ways you can put on blush, and it’s a case of discovering which technique works best for you.

If your skin has a cool undertone, try rose, berry, mauve and cool pink shades. Warmer undertones will likely suit warm pinks, corals and peachy hues. If you have a deeper skin tone, rich and vivid shades like fuchsia, purple-pink and red will work wonders. Those with neutral undertones will suit a wide range of hues. However, blush is not an exact science, so if you find yourself drawn to a particular colour, consider trying it in-store.

Liquid and cream blush are generally considered to be punchier than powder blush and can be better suited to those with drier skin. However, many liquid formulas work for oilier skin types too. Additionally, if you love pigment and a bold look, or simply want to ensure your blush lasts, layering powder blush over a cream or liquid formula is a great way to maximise colour and durability.
