Not moisturising
I feel this lip balm is just ok, it doesn’t actually moisturise lips but will coat them for a while to protect them a bit. With repeated use it just seems to make my lips drier. You get quite a generous amount but I don’t think it is effective. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Not fantastic
Hoped it would be similar to the ultra facial cream, which is on of my all time favourite moisturisers- thick, hydrating and long lasting, however I find it it none of those things. I feel like this is more suited to people who don’t lip lip products as it goes on fairly matte, and I much prefer a protective thick layer.

A change in formula?
Just like with several other Kiehl’s products, I am of a view that there was a change in formula that does not work for me – I used to like this lip balm very much, then switched to another brand for several years and then got back to Kiehl’s. I am not sure whether there was the slight change in name of this product or the formula has changed – instead of a very moisturising effect in the past, it now leaves my lips dry very soon, which means application after application and still dry lips at the end. The scent of the latest product is also quite chemical and off-putting, not a fan of this one
New formula is terrible
It used to be the only lip balm that worked on my dry lips but when I purchased a new tube 2 weeks ago the texture had changed - it now sits on top of my lips and doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm so disappointed - will have to find a new go-to lip balm unless they go back to the old formulation.
