Drunk Elephant was born out of founder Tiffany Masterson’s ongoing struggle with a range of skin complaints. After becoming disillusioned with the products at her disposal and the ingredients they were formulated with, she launched Drunk Elephant as a biocompatible skincare range in 2012, creating each product as a potent, easily absorbed elixir.
Each product in the Drunk Elephant range is formulated with a high percentage of active ingredients, all made at skin-friendly PH levels. Whether you’re looking to battle blemishes, reduce redness or revitalise the complexion, there are a variety of options for all concerns and any skin type.
They’re a cult favourite for a reason and are often touted as one of the best skincare brands out there, with quality and efficacy at the heart of each formulation. But it’s not just your skincare regime that can benefit from the range, as Drunk Elephant has forayed into body care and haircare too.

This is a provisional review. I buy this moisturiser for my son who, sadly, goes through it at a rate of knots. A refill makes sense. He is currently away so can’t comment on if it works ok.
My go to cream.
I have been using this product for over a year and I frequently get asked what I use on my skin.
Progress toward sustainability
I’ve been asking and hoping for a more sustainable product from drunk elephant for years. I’ve considered switching brands but the products just work so well.. it is just hard to reconcile all of the waste! So I was very excited about this refill! But when I went to insert it, the previous pump came undone and now I cannot get the cream out without unscrewing the entire thing! Maybe an error on my part but I followed the directions. Bummer because this stuff is not cheap. Hoping DE continues to work to become more sustainable.
Do you have sensitive skin?: Yes
This moisturiser is okay but not worth the price in my opinion, it takes a bit to skin into the skin but then does provide a nice level of moisture and is good for sensitive skin. I do like that you can get the refill pods and I think more brands should do this!
Best Use: Hydrating

Protini Polypeptide is my favourite moisturiser in the DE range and with the focus on sustainability am delighted that refills are now available. This is also cost effective as you save £8 on the retail price of the pot moisturiser. For those that havent tried it before the texture is a lightweight gel cream that due to the peptide ingredients has a nice plumping and firming effect on the skin. It combines really nicely with B Hydra for an extra hydration hit. Highly recommend.
Best Use: Hydrating, Barrier Repair, Firming
