Rated 1 out of 5 by SelenaL from Not for me... I got a GWP size of this but something in here didn't agree with my skin and caused itchiness and breakouts by day 3 (I'm guessing the Lime extract as quite high on ingredients list). I found the same thing happened with the earlier incarnation of this: the Gel Creme, although not as strongly as this. It's a shame because the texture is lovely for summer use and sinks into my skin without leaving any residue behind. I find all the other La Mer moisturizer formulations too rich for my oily-combination skin type in warmer weather. Rated 5 out of 5 by JIL15 from Gorgeous I thought this might be too light for my mature and quite dry skin but I was wrong. It has the absorbent, gel texture but it’s actually really hydrating. I use it as a day cream but it could work as a night cream too, particularly in summer. I can imagine if you keep it in the fridge it would feel lovely after a day in the sun. I find the moisturising cream of the same brand a bit heavy, the soft cream is lovely, but this is my favourite of the three. I also think it would suit all skin types as it’s moisturising for dryer skin like mine but a light enough texture for young skin as well as unlikely to lead to break outs. I’d definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RosieB from I’ve always wanted to own a La Mer product Really nice moisturiser. Texture is light weight and smooth and soaks into the skin beautifully. This product has a gorgeous cooling sensation on the skin and leaves the skin dewy and hydrated. Would definitely recommend and a little goes a long way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JasmineK1 from Oily skin saviour I used to use the La Mer soft cream, then this launched and I thought I’d try it out for the summer months...I’ve never gone back to the soft cream since. This is an oily/combination skin saviour. Doesn’t break me out, provides just the right amount of moisture and is the dream under make up. A little goes a long way. It’s pricey but I truly believe few other moisturisers compare, it’s a non-negotiable in my skin care regime!

Rated 3 out of 5 by LilyT from Better for oily skin than the La Mer Soft Cream It is formulated for combination/oily skin, and contains no mineral oil and no shea butter. If not for alcohol denat, hormone disrupting silicones and synthetic fragrance, it could be just as good as a certain 72-Hour Hydrator which costs £53 less for the jar of the same size!
