The Holey Cheese
Questionable spf if used as directed
My dermatologist advised using 1/4 tsp of sunscreen for face and neck daily. She advised using sunscreen alone without mixing other products as this can affect the sunscreen formulation and hence effectiveness. It would also be very hard to apply enough if you're also adding a big pump of moisturiser on top. I also think £115 is very expensive for something sunscreen as you will be using it daily with multiple reapplication in the summer. I'd be afraid to run through the bottle at the price point and that's not what you want with sunscreen.
Best Use: Anti-Aging
I have used an SPF sporadically over the years despite knowing that I should use one daily but finding one that is simple to apply, don't cause breakouts and doesn't interfere with the application or look of make up isn't always easy. This one does exactly what i had hoped. I apply it after Skinceuticals H A intensifier serum and Dr Barbara Sturm glow drops and the combination prepares my skin beautifully. It is clear that the sun drops not only protect from the sun but leave the skin glowing when hydrated when I wash at the end of the day.
Best Use: Loss of Firmness, Fine Lines, Anti-Aging
a questionable product
The idea of this product might be to mix with face cream, adding SPF component for final application. It contains vitamin E and is slightly running. Applying alone, one needs to quickly spread the drops into the skin because despite its runny texture it drys down very quickly. I think the quality of this brand is always very high and absolutely no perfume or unnecessary ingredient. However, I do not understand why it needs to pay this price, to get some skincare benefits, while sun screen should always be applied the last, after all other skincare procedures are done, and get replenished often under the sun or being exposed to sun. This said, this kind of skincare benefits built in sunscreen lotion is not working. (Same as Sisley's extraordinarily expensive sun screen).
lovely spf its on the pricier side so maybe not to everyones budget but worth a try serun like texture and does apply well but does feel slight grease on skin, so maybe for drier skin. perfect on its own but not sure if it good under makeup that is something yet to try
Best Use: Hydration, Hyperpigmentation, Brightening
IT WON'T WORK MUCH
This "sun drop" is designed to be mixed with other products and then applied to the face. But the truth is, spf should be applied on their own, a diluted mixture would decrease its uv protection. Also, Dr. Barbara Sturm has stated in one of her YouTube videos that she doesn't wear sunscreen, so purchasing a suncare product from someone who doesn't even buy sunscreen nor understood the importance of suncare.....not a good choice.
