Too mild for me
I finished a bottle of this and didnt see anything different. Bought it by accident thinking it’s the stronger version. It is probably because my skin is used to stronger stuff that I didnt find this useful. It is probably mild enough for intermediate retinol users as it doesnt irritate my skin at all.

Dries out skin, gives slow results
Retinol is very important part of my skincare. I have tried many different retinol products and only few are really working fast without any irritation. This retinol has got lovely texture, lathering, creamy, don’t need to use a lot of product and the whole package will last long. It also leaves skin feeling hydrated and glowing after immediate application. Unfortunately this product causes very bad skin dryness which takes long time to heal, too many dry patches and skin tightness. Even tho using spf and also hydrating. After when skin gets better, skin looks ok, smooth and it helps with breakouts and fine lines, but I don’t like that it dries out skin a lot, that it takes too long to recover. Compared to other retinol brands which I find only few good, I would not choose this as my regular retinol product. I would not recommend.

This stuff is good!
I recently got this product as part of a gift set for Christmas. It was a handy travel sized and I took it on holiday. Three days into it, I felt a positive difference to my skin. Skin felt more rested and smoother. I found it easier to apply make up. Needless to say I will be buying this again!

Very nice gentle ‘retinol’
I had a sample tube, which was enough to use on my neck for a fortnight. I loved this. I use prescription tretinoin on my neck but use more gentle retinol or retinol-like products on my chest and neck. This was lovely for my neck and I will happily buy a full-size.

Great beginners retinol
I have used many Paulas Choice products over the years, and have enjoyed using them all. This product is highly rated and recommended! For someone whos starting out, with retinol, this product is a perfect starting point, it doesnt irritate the skin, and you can fit it in to your evening skin routine, and go at your own pace.
