How to Apply

A well-cared for Diptyque 190g candle will burn for up to 60 hours. Your candle will burn clean and evenly down to the bottom of the glass if you burn it for at least two hours the first time - or until the whole top is liquid with wax. After blowing out your candle, centre and straighten the wick. Trim the wick to about half a centimetre long before relighting the candle. By shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass. Do not place the candle in a wind draught or directly on a glass or marble surface. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Never move or tip a lit candle. Keep out of reach of children.

Rated 4 out of 5 by minamon from Lovely smell The candle has a very lovely smell of roses, not to sweet or overpowering. Even the smallest size can fill the entire room with a nice smell. You can light it just a couple of minutes and that way it lasts a long time. I would buy this candle again. The only downside is the high price (therefore 4 stars only).

Rated 1 out of 5 by The Black Widow from what am I doing wrong? I bought this a few days a go and lit it for two hours as required. No perfume of roses while burning: all I could smell was paraffin, and as I love roses and grow many this was an olfactory affront. Hugely disappointed and reluctant to even try the Amber candle I bought at the same time. If this is a Diptyque candle, then it's highly overrated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AussieSpaceNKAddict from Amazing rich scent that's strong but not overpowering It's a fine line with scented candles to find one that is strong to justify the point of the candle (and in this brand's case the price) but not too overpowering and sickly. Diptyque's Roses gets this balance absolutely bang on. I have used a couple of the tiny versions of this candle and pack them for when I travel and they are my go-to treat for a post long-haul flight with a bath and soft music. A treat you won't regret.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amelia56 from Superior candle I received the travel size candle in the female trailblazers box. It smells exquisite, a lovely rose blend not fusty or old fashioned. It is a light rose fragrance. In spite of the small size this product still scents an entire room. The packaging is absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend these candles and they would make perfect gifts.

However after receiving the Roses Scented Candle as a very thoughtful gift, I can now say that I think I have found my favourite. It is such a beautiful fragrance and once lit the smell of this candle will totally change the ambience of a room.
