Subtle but effective
This is my first colourful outing with mascara and I'm not disappointed. I have green/grey eyes and figured purple was the way to go. It goes on really smooth (no clumps) and the colour is very subtle. The purple is not obvious unless up close, but you can make it more stand out by layering.

Underwhelmed
I love the ByTerry Expert Twist Mascara and felt naively confident that I’d like this. However, I found it dry and extremely underwhelming. It’s such a pity as the actual brush looks great but I’ve tried building this up and looks like nothing is on them.

But it's not clump free
I have mixed feelings about this, but ultimately my main problem is I just don't think it delivered on its promises. This worked fine for the first couple of uses, but after that it would only deliver a clump-free natural look - i.e. one thin coat. As soon as I added a second coat for a bit more length and volume it instantly clumped. I got fed up after 2 weeks and threw it away, so it's a thumbs down for me. If it has not clumped on me, I would have rated it highly, but as it did - bah!

Lovely brown shade
I bought this in brown as was looking for a nice everyday non waterproof madcara. It’s a lovely rich shade with no red tones. It applies beautifully and doesn’t clump or dry out quickly. Definitely a mascara for a nice natural look especially if you are pale/redhead. Doesn’t seem to hold a curl hugely but I have very straight thin lashes so that’s the same for any non waterproof mascara. Just gives a lovely natural result

I have two travel sized By Terry Terrybly mascara on the go, both in different lifecycles and I use both. They are great, chunky brushes allow for each lash to be covered precisely and you get a full look. It doesn't smudge on me and dries quickly. I like the blackness of this mascara and don't always use a liner as I get the look I want from the mascaar alone. A recommended buy, I've got a full sized one waiting to be cracked open. It's a winner for me!
