A bit strong perhaps?
First, I LOVE La Mer. The original cream, the tonic - irreplaceable and genuinely skin-transforming. But this dried my skin out and gave me a few spots. This lotion has a gorgeous, almost addictive texture. Heavier than the tonic, it is like a heavy water, or watery oil. The scent is also sublime. And it did brighten my skin somewhat, and made subsequent serums, creams, etc, sink in beautifully. It played well with everything. In the Summer months I could imagine using this as serum and going straight onto cream, spf, etc... And yet whenever I used it I noticed after a couple of days that my skin was drying, becoming sensitive, and, yes, breaking out into a few spots around the chin. Such a shame as texturally this is gorgeous. I know I am in the minority, and as I mentioned, other La Mer products are among my most treasured. This was just a dud for me.

A must skincare prep
Iconic for a reason La Mer treatment lotion sinks in easily and offers the perfect base to absorb serums or go straight to the recommended cream preference - mine is La Mer soft cream in summer and classic cream in the cooler winter months. The larger 200ml bottle last and lasts and you only need a few drops lightly pressed into the skin and you’re done. Packaging is made from glass and feels sleek and luxurious in the hand, as you would expect from La Mer.

What a wonderful surpise!
I received a small bottle sample of this wonderful lotion and I couldn't be more thrilled! I tried it completely on spec without reading about it first. Well, my skin just loved it and I loved the way it transformed my skin resulting in an almost glass like texture. My skin was taught but not dry and perfectly moisturised - a perfect canvas for my make-up. Will definitely invest in a full size bottle!

Best Toner in the market
It is a very pricey toner I know. But it worths every penny. My skin looks immediately clearer and brighter after using it, and the scent was lovely. The whole experience of using this product is really good. This is my third bottle and I will buy it again in the future.

Luxury in a bottle!
I spotted this in a recent YouTube review and I’m so glad I took the plunge and purchased this! Is this expensive for what it is = yes BUT my skin absolutely loves it! It’s perfect if you’re on the drier end and prone to redness as this really does soothe the skin!
