Who is the Dr Barbara Sturm woman?
'She is someone who doesn't want to use lots of different products but who wants an easy, fast skin regime that works. She's someone who likes a natural look and beautiful, healthy skin, and she wants to show it off'.
What's the hero ingredient in the range?
'My whole product approach is based on healing, anti-inflammation and telomerase activity (the activity that prevents cells from their natural programmed cell death); purslane [a succulent native to India] is a highly effective telomerase activator and so is a mainstay in the range. Besides being a very powerful anti-oxidant, it is also rich in beta carotene and omega 3 fatty acids [which helps keep the cell membrane healthy and firm].'
What does your own skincare routine look like?
'I take a shower in the morning, then I apply the Hyaluronic Acid Serum followed by my own MC1 blood cream. At night I cleanse my face with the Foam Cleanser, apply my Super Anti-Aging Serum and then my cream. I always have the Calming Serum with me and apply it to my skin throughout the day to top up my "skin glow".'
What's the concept behind the new Sun Drops SPF50?
'I'm not a big fan of putting SPF on your skin every day as it sits on products and destroys the active ingredients. Now you can add SPF to every product you like when you need it, without destroying the active ingredients your skin benefits from.'
