Caring for diptyque Candles
With proper care, diptyque candles burn for 50 to 60 hours. Here are tips for safely prolonging the life of your candles.
Burn Time
The first time you burn your diptyque candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours, until the whole top is liquid with wax. This will help your candle burn more evenly the next time.
Trim The Wick
Before lighting your diptyque candle, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length. By shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and also avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the glass.
Realign The Wick
After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.
Safety
Never leave a lit candle unattended. This could be a fire risk. Always place your candle on a level, heat resistant, non-flammable surface away from fabric or drapes. Choose an area free from drafts to avoid uneven burning. Do not place your candle on a marble or glass surface. If the bottom of the hot candle glass comes in contact with a cold material, the glass may crack.

Beautiful Candle
This candle has a very earthy smell which I did not like at first. But after the handle is lit, the fragrance is more subtle, lighter and less woody. I use this candle to bridge the indoor and outdoor spaces of my home. However, due to the high price-point I do not think I will repurchase this candle.

Favourite Diptyque Candle
I'm a fan of Diptyque candles, I've got about 8 of them currently in the house and I've probably tried over a dozen in total. But this one is my favourite sent, it's really close to the natural sent of the figue tree which I love, it reminds me of summer on the Greek islands. Also, the candle is beautiful, I love the green glass and powerful enough for a large room and it does last a fairly long time. This is one I will repurchase on repeat!

Beautiful candle in all senses
This candle really is a delight to the senses - the Fig scent is delicious and the green glass looks just beautiful when lit. These coloured glass editions are a little more special then the regular clear ones and would make a useful container when the candle is finished. Great quality aroma that fills the room and lasts - the great quality you expect from Diptique.

Perfect for small to medium space
This candle was a gift and I love the way it looks, but it works only in small to medium room as the fragrance is not strong enough. It does smell like green figs and reminds me of the end of summer. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. It makes a stylish gift.
