Is Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Wand As Good As The OG?
Yes, you read that correctly, a matte version of the bestselling, cult-classic, can’t-live-without Beauty Wand. I signed myself up to review the new-in makeup product as soon as the brand revealed its 2023 launch line-up. Could a matte finish really be as good as the glow-giving OG Beauty Light Wand? I needed to know…
The Top Line On The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Pillow Talk Beauty Blush Wand
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand, £30.00 is the easy-to-use liquid blusher we’ve been waiting for. The padded applicator and buildable formula make it effortless to apply. Infused with light-reflecting pigments and flawless film formers, this cream blush gives you a filtered effect blush.
Everything You Need To Know About Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Beauty Blush Wand
First things first, what’s the difference between the new Beauty Wand and the OG? While the bestselling Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk, £30.00 is all about accentuating your natural bone structure and very much a liquid highlighter, the new kid on the block is focused on giving your complexion a healthy flush and plays the role of a cream blusher.
Having tried the Matte Beauty Blush Wand for 48 hours before the launch, I feel like I need to stress just how good the colour payoff is. I’ve included a swatch shot of the Peach Pop shade below so you can see for yourself. Don’t let this put you off if you prefer a minimal makeup look though as the formula blends in effortlessly. In true Charlotte Tilbury style, these cream blushers are versatile enough to suit all skin tones and makeup styles.
In keeping with the Beauty Light Wands, the blushers have a cushioned tip that makes application fool-proof – even if you’re on the train first thing in morning. I squeezed the tube once and dotted the formula onto each cheek before blending out with my fingers. This was the perfect amount of product to create a natural-looking, rosy finish, but you could also layer it up for a stronger look.
The texture is super lightweight and doesn’t leave your cheeks feeling sticky. I applied this first, followed by the Beauty Light Wands and the finish was gorgeous. It’s clear that the Charlotte Tilbury team worked hard to ensure these two products work seamlessly together, and they nailed it.
The Verdict On Charlotte Tilbury Matte Pillow Talk Beauty Wand
While the formula has a matte rather than dewy finish, as the name states, I definitely feel like it gives you a natural glow-from-within flush. The finish is not a flat or a dull matte, it’s super natural and gorgeous. I also found that once the Matte Pillow Talk Beauty Wand dried, it lasted longer than other cream blushers with a dewier finish that I’ve tried. For me, the colour payoff and staying power make this blusher stand out. I applied the formula first thing in the morning and it saw me through the whole day in the office.
Having tried the Peach Pop for a couple of days, I’m willing to bet that the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand, £30.00 are going to be a firm favourite with Space NK customers and just as popular as the OG Beauty Wands.
