8 New In Makeup Buys To Have On Your Radar
The thing we love about the start of a new season? That unbeatable feeling of a fresh beginning in so many aspects of our lives – and, especially, in our makeup routines. That’s right – new season equals new looks, new brands, new colours and shades…

From celebrated beauty content creator Jamie Genevieve’s gorgeous makeup line VIEVE (swoon) to the up-and-coming, uber cool Canadian brand 19/99, here are the new-to-Space NK brands to know about and the must-have makeup buys to have on your radar.

8 Makeup Buys For Autumn 2022

Charlotte Tilbury

Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer, £ 25,00

Is there anything more satisfying than finding a new concealer for a new season? We think not – and the latest addition to Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin family does not disappoint. Like its fellow Beautiful Skin counterparts, it’s formulated with a host of active skincare ingredients including hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C and vegan collagen. This makes it an incredibly hydrating and skin-loving corrector that will effortlessly brighten, conceal and even contour. Read our beauty team’s review here and prepare to fall in love.

The Essential Palette, £ 45,00

Be still, my beating heart – we’re over the moon about the arrival of VIEVE, the oh so covetable makeup brand founded by beauty YouTuber extraordinaire and makeup artist Jamie Genevieve. Don’t expect us to pick a favourite from this gorgeous collection – there are too many must-haves – however, we do have a soft spot for this eyeshadow palette of dreams. From everyday hues to night-ready shades, these highly pigmented shimmery and matte eyeshadows offer a world of endless (and glamorous) possibilities for the cooler months.

Nova Glow Highlighter, £ 27,00

The cooler the temperatures, the higher the glow – and this statement highlighter from VIEVE will make sure we stay radiant throughout the colder months. Available in three lit-from-within shades, this unique formula boasts a powdery texture and a creamy, second-skin finish that will look incredible when swept across the high points of your face and even décolletage and centre of the legs.

Lash Tint Mascara, £ 14,00

Stating that beauty is ageless, this playful, inclusive and female-founded makeup line was launched amidst the pandemic in 2020 and has already amassed a steady following. One of our favourites is this lightweight mascara, designed to work on all eye shapes and sizes. Its small and perfectly formed wand means you can reach, separate, define and lengthen every single lash for a naturally full, clump-free effect. It comes in three shades, and you can use it on your brows too – oh how we love a multi-tasker!

Precision Colour Pencil, £ 19,00

Only two products marked the birth of 19/99 – the High-Shine Gloss and a red pencil. Unsurprisingly, the Precision Colour Pencil is now one of the brand’s most distinctive products and comes in various shades – at a glance, it makes an excellent lip liner and even lipstick. But 19/99 refers to it as all-over face colour – from eyes to cheeks and wherever your imagination takes you, this is a multi-functional and playful tool with a creamy matte finish that wants you to have fun.

Kevyn Aucoin

The Contour Eyeshadow Palette Collection, £ 31,00

Don’t get us wrong, we love a smoky eye any time of the year – but there’s something about autumn that seems particularly apt for a timeless smoky eyed look. If you agree with us, look no further – Kevyn Aucoin's super chic eyeshadow palette has everything you need to create the perfect smoky-eyed look. Available in four variations that range from cool to warm tones, this six-pan, made-for-all palette will have you creating a range of contoured, highlighted and multi-dimensional eye looks – perfect for autumnal days and nights.

Lip Chic, £ 38,00

Another thing to look forward to when a new season hits? A brand-new and limited-edition collection from luxe beauty brand Chantecaille, of course. For Autumn 2022, the brand has taken inspiration from two of nature’s fiercest cats – the black jaguar and cougar – to create a striking story and encourage us to connect with the essence of the wild. While we’re lusting after the two eyeshadow palettes within this collection, we literally cannot choose which of these new Lip Chics is our favourite. There are four glossy, hyaluronic acid infused and universally flattering shades to choose from – don’t be surprised if we keep all four.

Tula Skincare

Rose Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm, £ 28,00

An eye balm in your makeup bag? That’s right – we love a good skincare-makeup hybrid and this acclaimed stick from TULA is just the kind of skin-loving hero we need in our busy getting ready schedules (read our beauty editor’s review to find out more). Reap its hyaluronic acid, rosewater and rosehip oil benefits on tired eyes to look and feel instantly refreshed, and use it as a highlighter for a glowing finish on your cheekbones and other high points of your face.
