Tried & Tested: The New Naturium Multi-Peptide Rich Cream

With hugely successful skincare and bodycare collections to ensure top-to-toe skin health and radiance, Naturium’s new products always get plenty of commotion. Its latest launch is another addition to Naturium’s peptide family – Multi-Peptide Rich Cream. A sophisticated blend of palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, copper tripeptide-1, encapsulated ferulic acid and linseed extract, this moisturiser is designed to help target fine lines and wrinkles and plump and lock in moisture for a hydrated and healthy-looking complexion. It’s suitable for most skin types, especially dry or maturing skin.
Naturium’s Multi-Peptide Rich Cream has been described by Susan Yara as an answer for those who were looking for even more of a hydrating experience of the bestselling Multi-Peptide Moisturizer. With this in mind, we asked two Space NK team members to give this new moisturiser a test drive – keep scrolling to discover their first impressions on the Multi-Peptide Rich Cream.
Ashlee's Review
• Skin type: Dry and sensitive
• The product: NATURIUM Multi-Peptide Rich Cream, £21.60

Naturium’s Multi-Peptide Moisturiser has something of a cult following. The price point is undeniably appealing, plus the plethora of 5-star reviews speak for themselves. The OG plumped as promised, but my dry skin always needed an additional layer for extra barrier support. However, since testing this new cream, I’ve opted out of that last step.

The longevity of this formula is what makes it special. I've been gaslit by the false promises of many a rich moisturiser over the years, the hope of a buttery balm evaporating just a few hours later. But, I can testify that this is gloriously rich and the results are everlasting.
I’ve developed somewhat of an oddity since trailing this, an obsession if you will. Caressing my cheek has never been more appealing, I’ve even started volunteering my face for others to fondle in all its velvet glory. My skin feels thicker, stronger and smoother: success for fragile, sensitive skin!
I layered it on top of my vitamin C and my complexion was left so refined, I opted to go without a foundation for most of the week I tried it. But it works equally as well underneath a full face of makeup too, as it supports a smooth base underneath any powders or primers. It's also perfect as a night cream. Naturium’s Multi-Peptide range has delivered another winner!

My skin can be a bit all over the place – sometimes dehydrated, sometimes dry, an oily T-zone, the odd spot, fine lines. It’s a real rollercoaster ride but I’m always conscious of applying moisturiser as I find that’s the one thing that helps to keep it looking its best.

In the morning, I normally apply my serum, a booster depending on how my skin is looking and feeling, and then a moisturiser with SPF. When using this, I just substituted the booster, as this moisturiser is packed with peptides and does a lot of what I want for my skin (hydrate and plump). It’s quite thick which was expected, as it's described as a ‘rich’ cream, but it almost has a gel-like texture to it which is really pleasant on the skin and it doesn’t feel heavy or cloying. My SPF and makeup applied perfectly afterwards and it gave my skin a fresh, dewy finish which I was a fan of.
In the evening, I applied it after my retinol once I’d cleansed my skin, which is when I’d normally apply my moisturiser. It massages in well and is a lovely way to end an evening skincare routine.
I’d definitely keep using this, probably at night as I didn’t feel I always needed it first thing in the morning. It's a good all-round moisturiser that I'd say people of every age and skin type could benefit from, but especially those with dry skin or who need to give their skin an extra hydration hit during the colder months.
THE VERDICT
The results are clear – both Ashlee and Becci enjoyed using this cream and give it their seal of approval. They loved the texture, the finish, and the hydration they got from it.
• The Pros: Ashlee found its hydrating qualities long-lasting and loved it under makeup. "For dehydrated and dry skin, wait for your serum to dry down slightly, not entirely, just enough to leave the skin tacky," she advises. "I found this is the best way create a gorgeous base for makeup in the morning."
• The Cons: Given its rich texture, which Becci didn't always find was necessary for her, this cream may not work for those who have oilier skin. If oil control is a key goal, you might want to try NATURIUM Niacinamide Gel Cream 5%, £17.20
