Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream review | Space NK

Dr Barbara Sturm’s Glow Drops put the onus on skincare with mineral pigments that dial up your skin’s radiance. The serum is packed full of hyaluronic acid, wild rose extract to refine pores and Dr Barbara Sturm’s signature ingredient, purslane, which soothes and repair.

People go wild for these Glow Drops because they really do give your skin an instant glow. They’re a must-have for makeup minimalists and anyone with dull skin. For years, customers have been asking Dr Barbara Sturm for a more moisturiser equivalent and she’s finally delivered. Meet Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream, a nourishing cream that provides immediate radiance.

We asked two Space NK team members to try the Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream out for a couple of weeks and share their honest thoughts.

Kirsten’s Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream review

Skin type: Dry with occasional hormonal breakouts

The product: Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Cream, £150.00

Kirsten's Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream review | Space NK

My skin was feeling a bit dull and dehydrated in certain areas, mainly around my forehead and chin, before I started using the Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream. I’ve only used the brand’s hyaluronic acid serum which I liked, so I was intrigued to try the new moisturiser. Straight off the bat I was really impressed with the lightweight texture, which is right up my street especially as we move into the warmer months. I also noticed the dewy glow it gave my skin instantly. It wasn’t shimmery or glittery, and you could definitely forgo makeup.

The glow was still noticeable after a few hours of wear and my skin felt hydrated throughout the day. I’d need to use this formula for a bit longer to see if there were any longer-term benefits, however my skin definitely didn’t feel as dry throughout the day when I used the Glow Cream. I’d highly recommend this moisturiser for anyone looking for a dewy finish.

Victoria’s Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream review

Skin type: Dry to combination

The product: Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Cream, £150.00

Victoria's Dr Barbara Sturm Glow Cream review | Space NK

Years ago I used the Glow Drops and I remember being impressed, but they never become a staple in my routine. I like a simple skincare routine and saw them as another step. I was interested to see if I’d find the Glow Cream. Spoiler alert: I felt completely different.

Having used it for two weeks; I can say with confidence that this is a brilliant moisturiser if you’re looking for hydration and radiance in one step. The texture is light but buttery and melts into skin, leaving it feeling moisturised and looking dewy. My skin felt super soft all day and the glow shone through my SPF – I’m currently using Tatcha Silk SPF.

This moisturiser has become a firm fixture in my morning routine, and I’ve kept the La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream as part of my evening ritual and my skin feels hydrated and nourished.

Our Verdict On Dr Barbara Sturm’s Glow Cream

Both Kirsten and Victoria gave Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Cream, £150.00 a great review and said they would continue using the moisturiser even after the review had finished. Dr Barbara Sturm took her time in launching this moisturiser, but it seems that it was absolutely worth the wait.

The pros: Where to start? This formula delivers hydration and radiance without leaving your skin feeling greasy or heavy. It absorbs super quickly and is ideal for no makeup makeup days, or to create a dewy base.

The cons: While we would always use this moisturiser as part of our morning routine, it doesn’t include SPF and some sunscreens might cancel out the radiant finish, which is worth considering.
