We Road Test The New Lisa Eldridge Concealer
Sharing the inspiration behind this exciting new launch Lisa shared, "Throughout my career, making up thousands of different faces, I often found that concealers would look fantastic when first applied, but even thirty minutes later I’d start to see a flat dullness, creasing, or a just change in finish. I wanted to create a concealer that always looked as if it had just been applied and perfectly blended, fresh, luminous and seamless throughout the day."
Leaning into the ever-popular 'skinification' of makeup, "Luminist has a genuinely hydrating, skin-loving formula, with 80% skincare ingredients. It is clinically proven to help improve skin barrier health. I wanted to avoid that dry, cakey feeling you can sometimes get with concealer." Plus, gone are the days of a dodgy colour match. "After years of mixing custom concealer shades so they looked as true-to-life as possible, the Luminist Concealer range finally captures real undertone complexity. I hear constant feedback from my community such as “the most accurate match I’ve ever found” and “finally a brand that understands olive".

Lisa's Luminist Concealer Review
Shade reviewed: 8 Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder, £40.00

Application: I love to apply a thin layer of my Enhancing Tint, then apply Luminist wherever I want to conceal, correct, lift or brighten. Glide on straight with the doe foot and then buff seamlessly into the skin with a small, dense concealer blending brush. For blemishes or areas that need that intensely pigmented camouflage, I’ll use my Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil. Although the concealer is self-setting, you can powder if you want to take down the luminous finish.
Formula: Luminist has a genuinely hydrating, skin-loving formula. It is powered by Silver Mushroom Extract, which is 400x more moisturising than sodium hyaluronate, while Squalane and Glycerin help maintain the skin’s moisture balance and improve skin barrier health. The result is a hydrating, weightless formula that adds instant, fresh-looking luminosity while seamlessly concealing dark circles, pigmentation and redness.
Finish: For me, the key to a really great look is making the skin look fresh and beautifully perfected rather than overly made up. What makes it stand out is how luminous, dewy and juicy it stays throughout the day. It has a hydrating, weightless formula with Fresh Setting Technology, so it retains its juicy-ness even after self-setting. The flexible coverage moves naturally with the skin without creasing or settling into fine lines.

Shade reviewed: 22 Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder, £40.00

Application: When I saw this wand it was like love at first sight. It's really skinny and precise so you can get into the contours of your face easily. Using the Lisa Eldridge No.4 brush, I gently dabbed. This brush is like a mini foundation brush that you can buff with, and the soft bristles are gentle enough for such a delicate area. I used shade 22, which is actually a colour correcting shade, but I wore it alone and it proved to be such a lovely brightening shade.
Formula: I have oily combination skin, but I live for glowy looks so I really like the slight sheen that this formula has. This formula worked nicely with my skin tint and looks really illuminating. Before setting with powder, I could see some creasing under my eyes but after setting with loose powder the coverage looked smooth, bright and flawless with all dark circles gone.
Finish: This is a great all-rounder concealer that I'd honestly recommend to anyone. It's got a decent amount of coverage without requiring the rest of your base to be 'full-glam'. It added a beautiful freshness to my skin and helped add to the healthy glow of my skin. Paired with powder, I'd rate the longevity of this concealer a 8.5/10, which is really good for such a natural finish.

Shade reviewed: 2 Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Loose Powder, £40.00

Application: I tend to get quite dark under my eyes so I applied a couple of layers and I was so impressed by how light and silky the formula felt. The skinny wand is great because you can dot it all over for a little extra coverage without your base becoming cakey. I added a few dots to my nose and over my cheeks as this makes my blush, my favourite step, really pop.
Formula: This is definitely my shade and it has the perfect undertones for my alabaster skin. Sometimes I find that concealers can be really heavy but it melted into my skin in seconds with the matching brush. It sat beautifully on my skin and did a good job of delivering coverage and brightening. Quite often, a concealer is only good at one or the other.
Finish: If you like the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, you'll really like this. It's so easy to work with so it's great for busy mornings and the coverage is so good. The real test with concealer for me is if my bags are still covered at the end of the day and this was definitely the case.
Our Verdict On Lisa Eldridge's Luminist Concealer
If you want fresh, dewy, juicy coverage, you're definitely in the right place.
The pros: All of our reviewers found a brilliant shade match and found the formula quick and easy to blend. Everyone enjoyed the applicator, brush and ultra-lightweight formula. The brightening effect was noticeable and helped deliver a healthy glow with a enough coverage to conceal darkness.
The cons: If your skin is on the oilier side like Celia, you'll probably still want to set your concealer with some setting powder to ensure a long-lasting, creaseless finish.
