We Asked Our Team To Review Lisa Eldridge's New Pinpoint Concealer

lisa eldridge pinpoint concealer review

One of the UK’s most iconic makeup artists, there’s a lot of love for Lisa Eldridge's makeup collection. Her iconic Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint in eighteen shades has fast become one of Space NKs bestsellers, her True Velvet Lip Colour that took years to perfect is one of the most long-lasting lip products you’ll find, while her Kitten Flick Liquid Eyeliner, which is part of Lisa’s signature look, makes winged eyes easy to create. Now there’s another new product getting everyone excited. Her Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil, available in 16 shades and Lisa’s first ever concealer.

Inspired by her famous ‘pinpoint concealing technique’ which is the way Lisa has applied concealer with tiny brushes for years, this concealer takes the hard work out of getting that perfect seamless finish she’s known for. And instead of brushes and blenders, now all you need is this micro pencil’s natty 1.5mm nib. Giving you the precision to colour and camouflage everything from spots to broken capillaries to pigmentation, you’ll be able to replicate Lisa’s expertise in seconds.

Waterproof, sweat-proof, long wearing and with a gel-like texture, it’s also lightweight so you won’t feel like the concealer is clogging your pores or looks heavy on the skin. Plus, you can use it directly on bare skin or on top of your foundation or Skin Tint.

Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, our team couldn’t wait to put the Pinpoint Concealer to the test and see if they could cover up everything from dark circles to blemishes. Keep reading to find out their verdict…

VANESSA'S LISA ELDRIDGE PINPOINT CONCEALER REVIEW

Skin tone: Medium with neutral undertones

The product: Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil, £27.00

Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Review Vanessa Before and After

I’ll be honest – as much as I love makeup, concealer is probably my least favourite thing to shop for. I struggle to find good colour matches and formulas that don’t excessively crease – so I tend to stick to the failsafe icon that is Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, £27.00.

One thing I do love and put my faith in entirely however, is Lisa Eldridge – so I was highly intrigued by the idea of a concealer in the form of a pencil. I also love that this is based on her viral ‘pinpoint’ technique, so I had to give it a go.

The first thing I’ll say is that I absolutely loved the texture of it – I found it super creamy and felt like it melted onto my skin. Because it’s so lightweight, I chose to blend it in with my fingers rather than a sponge or brush. I used it over different foundations, and it didn’t interfere with or pile over any of them. Plus, given that I have oily skin and that the texture was very creamy, I’m pleased to say it seemed to last well too (I didn’t try it on a day that I was exercising, so I can’t say whether it would be good for working out in).

Even though I don’t really get many spots, the main things I want to ‘conceal’ is my skin texture to some extent, any redness from treatments but especially, my dark circles. For the latter, I felt like I had to apply a lot of this concealer to get the kind of coverage I want, and it wasn’t quite enough for my dark circles. However, it did seem to brighten the corner of my eyes really nicely!

While it won’t replace my go-to concealers, I think it could easily complement one’s coverage routine and be a great choice if you’re looking for light (and seamless) coverups.

HANITRA'S LISA ELDRIDGE PINPOINT CONCEALER REVIEW

Skin tone: Medium Tan

The product: Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil, £27.00

Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Review Hanitra Before and After

As someone who uses quite a bit of concealer on a daily basis, I wasn’t sure about using a pencil for my concealer. When I first tried the Pinpoint concealer, I was pleasantly surprised. The concealer easily melts into the skin and provides a good amount of coverage. The texture is very interesting, it feels creamy when you first apply it dries quite quickly, which can make it a bit hard to work with or blend in. However, I do like that you don’t really need any tools, and you can easily just use your fingers to blend it. It’s also very precise and feels quite effortless to use.

I did try it on my hyperpigmentation and post-acne marks, and found that the concealer covers them well, however a traditional concealer would still be my preferred product as I get to cover the area quicker.

I’d recommend this to anyone who get the occasional spot or redness and wants something to easily and precisely cover that area. I also think this would be a great product to keep in your bag if you need to touch up throughout the day.

OLIVIA'S LISA ELDRIDGE PINPOINT CONCEALER REVIEW

Skin tone: Medium/Olive

The product: Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil, £27.00

Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Review Olivia Before and After

This concealer is great for adding extra coverage when trying to hide spots and acne scars. I use it as the first step of my makeup routine to hide imperfections and highlight areas I want to brighten to create a more even base for the rest of my makeup. When applied, I don’t blend it but layer a creamy concealer on top to really lock in the product and achieve a full coverage look.

The product is very matte and dry and I found it a bit tricky to blend with a brush or sponge so I actually found my fingers best.

I wouldn’t swap it fully for my current concealer, but I would pair the two and with it being in a pencil form, it is great for cleaning up underneath the eyebrows, eyeliner and lip liner smudges! Its matte finish means that it feels more sweatproof and long lasting too.

RUBY'S LISA ELDRIDGE PINPOINT CONCEALER REVIEW

Skin tone: Fair

The product: Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil, £27.00

Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Review Ruby Before and After

I thought the Lisa Eldridge Pin Point Concealer was incredibly user-friendly. I love that it twists up, eliminating the need for sharpening, unlike other pencils. The pencil format also feels clean and precise, making application effortless and mess-free—perfect for tossing into your bag.

It’s excellent for covering spots, although I found it a bit tricky to blend under my eyes over foundation. I applied it directly on top of my foundation and used my fingers to blend it out. I wore it all day whilst working and walking around—and it held up through both rain and sweat.

While I would swap it for my regular spot concealer, I wouldn’t use it for larger areas like under my eyes.

TANYA'S LISA ELDRIDGE PINPOINT CONCEALER REVIEW

Skin tone: Deep

The product: Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Micro Correcting Pencil, £27.00

Lisa Eldridge Pinpoint Concealer Review Tanya Before and After

I applied this on top of my foundation and found that it was the perfect colour match. It was really easy to use and although the whole point of the concealer is that you don’t need to use any extra tools, I did blend it in with my makeup sponge.

The results lasted really well and I noticed the coverage was still there after an entire day but I also liked the convenience of it – it’s really easy to carry around and use on the go rather than a liquid or cream concealer which can get a bit messy sometimes.

I would definitely keep this on me for touch ups and if I was going to the gym because it’s definitely got the longevity needed for work outs.

THE VERDICT ON LISA ELDRIDGE PINPOINT CONCEALER

All of our testers credited this new concealer for it’s ease of use and how handy it was for on the go, making at an ideal option to pop into your bag/keep on your desk for quick touch-ups.

The pros: Great for targeted areas such as pigmentation, spots, acne scarring. Lovely matte texture that worked well on all skin types. Convenient to use.

The cons: Not always easy to blend and need a lot more of it for areas such as under the eye. Doesn’t always give the ‘full’ coverage required of a concealer.
