Isabel’s Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum Review
• Product reviewed: LANEIGE Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum, £19.00 in Lavendar Frosting

I’m well acquainted with the Juicepop Box Tints by Laneige and I'll be the first to tell you how addictive they are. After trying my housemates lip mask for the first time, I was instantly hooked. This is my first time trying the Glaze Craze Serum and I'm expecting big things!
I gasped with delight as soon as I saw the doughnut applicator, it’s this kind of ingenuity that draws me to K-beauty brands as I'm a firm believer that beauty should be fun and effective. Excitingly, the shimmer within ‘Lavender Frosting’ was so intense when I swatched it. Rather than being a lip serum with a touch of colour, this looks and feels more like a gloss.
My lips can become incredibly dehydrated, and this happens quite often as I rarely drink enough water. They’re naturally full but can look incredibly depleted and lose volume. As I applied the serum, the true shape and fullness of my lips was instantly revived. I would say this feels and looks like a classic lip gloss when worn and the lavender scent was bold enough to be noticeable.
Without prepping with a lip balm or mask as I usually would with a lip gloss, when the shine wore off my lips were soft, plump and pillowy rather than parched. They genuinely looked much plumper while wearing the serum and after it wore off. It’s as if this product gives you the glam of a gloss, yet behind the scenes is on a secret mission to deliver hydration.
I have neutral undertones, but I’m currently quite tanned. As the sheer purple shade has a cool undertone, I feel this will suit me better in winter, but I will still happily reach for this all year round. I do love a plumping, sheer gloss and this gives me the same effect without any unpleasant burning or tingles, just pure nourishment and skincare goodness.

• Product reviewed: LANEIGE Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum, £19.00 in Rose Jam

I’ve been wearing Rose Jam, and it’s the perfect everyday lip product. The buttery texture feels so nourishing without being sticky or heavy, and once the shine wears off you can really feel that your lips have been conditioned as they feel soft and kissable.
The Rose Jam shade is ultra wearable. It really compliments my skin tone, and I feel that this would be the case for most people. It’s a high shine gloss with a sheer yet noticeable tint of mauve pink that can be amplified for the evenings with a lipstick or liner. I also really enjoy the subtle rose scent that compliments the shade precisely. It’s lovely and feminine and a nice touch as it’s not too overpowering.
This is just such a good all-rounder, as you don’t need to apply any lip balms or masks with it. I’ll definitely be trying more shades in the future!

• Product reviewed: LANEIGE Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum, £19.00 in Maple Glaze

My first impression of Laneige’s Glaze Craze Serum was how elevated the experience felt compared to other lip products. The cushion applicator gives it a beautifully luxe touch, making every application feel amazing.
The skincare ingredients within the serum formula made it feel comfortable and weightless on my lips, without that heavy or tacky sensation some glosses have. A particular highlight was that my hair didn’t cling to it in the wind, always a sign of a well-balanced formula.
I also loved the colour payoff and texture. The shade Maple Glaze has a flattering warm tone that’s glossy without being overly pigmented, too sheer or sticky. The shade worked well for daytime, offering a polished yet effortless finish for work and I just added lip liner for the evening.
Glaze Craze leaves my lips feeling smooth and nourished. I didn’t find myself reaching to top up throughout the day as my lips never felt dry, which is exactly what I look for in a lip product. The scent is noticeably sweet, and I’d personally prefer something a little softer and more understated. That said, the finish and feel is so good that it certainly didn’t detract from the overall experience.

• Product reviewed: LANEIGE Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum in Blueberry Jelly, £19.00

I have very dry lips so hydrating lipcare is big on my beauty routine – but whilst I do sometimes use Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask, my favourite product from the brand is LANEIGE Bouncy & Firm Eye Sleeping Mask, £28.00. I just love the rich and tacky texture of it, it feels so soothing on the skin. So other than those products, Laneige is fairly new to my skincare collection.
Despite not being much of a lip oil girl (I usually wear bullet and matte liquid lipsticks), I was instantly curious about this new formula. As someone who loves colour on the lips, I’ve never really felt like I can achieve this with a lip oil – but Glaze Craze looked surprisingly rich in colour, so I decided to give the shade Blueberry Jelly, a reddish mauve hue, a go.
I instantly loved the packaging – the applicator really does look like a doughnut, and it feels lovely on the lips! As for the texture, it felt very hydrating and soothing – it’s not the most lightweight formula, but I still found it comfortable, pleasant and, thankfully, not sticky! Whenever I used it on its own, I did feel like it kept my lips hydrated for a good amount of time, and I didn’t find myself feeling like I had to reapply it continuously.
As for the colour payoff, I was fairly impressed – the shade does build up easily, so if you like colour, you’re in for a treat! I didn’t find the formula lasted long, but that’s just not something I expect from lip oils, glosses or tinted serums. Plus, I think it makes a lovely ‘lip topper’; this was my favourite way of wearing it. I’d apply it over my lip liner and lipstick duos if they were looking a bit worn out after eating or drinking, and I loved how fresh it made my lips look. I’m also not sure if it made my lips look any plumper than usual, although shiny finishes generally do have a plumping effect on the lips.
I’m too millennial to steer away completely from classic satin and matte lip finishes, and I love colour and definition too much to fully convert to lip oils. But I’ll definitely keep using this on top of my other colours or wear it with lip liner for a super fresh and summery look, as I do think it make the lips look very pretty!

• Product reviewed: LANEIGE Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum in Strawberry Sprinkles, £19.00

I’m forever applying different lip products so was the perfect candidate to try out the latest Laneige Glaze Craze Lip Serum. As someone who predominantly goes for a natural-looking lip shade during the day, I opted for the new Strawberry Sprinkles, which looks just like the baby pink tube it comes in.
I liked the doughnut-shaped applicator and it felt comfortable to apply, although if you squeeze too much out, it can be a bit messy as opposed to a slanted applicator ‘tip’ which tends to push the product right up to your lip line. Texture wise, it felt more like an oil than a serum as I could feel it on my lips, but it wasn’t sticky or uncomfortable and it left them feeling hydrated. Longevity wise, I did have to reapply after eating or drinking after a few hours – but that’s often the case with lip oils so I don’t see this as a negative.
As for the colour, it gave my lips a barely-there sheen which has been perfect in the warmer weather and when I want my makeup to look more subdued and 'glowy', rather than anything too heavy. I’ll definitely be taking it with me when I go on holiday next month to keep my lips hydrated in the heat.
THE VERDICT ON LANEIGE GLAZE CRAZE TINTED LIP SERUM
It seems like the ‘craze’ is justified: our reviewers really liked using this Laneige lip serum. “I can see why it’s been a sellout,” says Vanessa. “Lip oils are everywhere at the moment, and this one has the added benefit of being packed with skincare ingredients. Plus, the packaging is so cute!”
• The Pros: The girlies agree that the shine is spot on and that it is a very hydrating formula. “If you like lip oils, you’re probably going to love this,” says Vanessa.
• The Cons: Both our testers noted that they didn't find the formula long-lasting. “But other than that, I can’t really fault it,” says Vanessa. "I do have one 'warning' however – the sweetness of the flavour really comes through! Personally, I quite enjoy it as I have a very sweet tooth, but bear this in mind if you're not big on strong flavours."
