Trust us, these wellness products will make you feel amazing
“Wellness and beauty fads will come and go, especially with platforms like TikTok, but people are beginning to tire of the endless cycling of trends and the often-conflicting information they bring. Instead, we’re seeing a shift towards credible, science-backed sources for information and products,” explains Anna Lahey, founder of Vida Glow, the supplements brand famed for it’s Marine Collagen Supplements and that has just launched at Space NK.
Here's some of the practices, products and rituals you can expect to see popping up throughout 2025...
Ingestible Beauty
Whereas supplements used to be considered niche, they’ve quickly migrated into mainstream. This is partly down to convenience – one in seven vitamin supplements in the UK is now in gummy format while powder formulas are widely acknowledged for their ease of adding into morning smoothies or that first glass of water we consume. There’s also a wider breadth of research surrounding the results. “Ingestible beauty is becoming a staple in self-care routines as it offers a simple but scientific way to take care of ourselves,” explains Anna. “The supplements market is advancing rapidly with innovations that deliver results more efficiently – whether that’s through ingredient breakthroughs or formats that enhance a product’s bioavailability (how well the body absorbs and utilises it). The demand for more targeted solutions is only going to grow too for things such as pigmentation or hair loss.”
Sleep Optimisation
Every year the importance of sleep becomes more and more apparent to our health, be it for our skin, hair, stress levels, energy and how ‘well’ we feel. No longer considered basic hygiene there are now sleep tracking devices, AI-driven smart beds, apps, aromatherapy sprays, soundtracks – anything that can help us understand and assist our sleeping patterns in order to aid and improve them. Trends agency WGSN are also flagging ‘therapeutic laziness’ as one to watch. All part of the much-needed rest revolution, sleep and spa retreats are expected to start appearing in a bid to offer up guilt-free ways to switch off and unwind without feeling ‘lazy’. They also predict more ‘treat-while-you-laze’ products. It started with LED masks but watch this space for more creative ways to enhance your skin and hair while you rest and relax.
Holistic Recovery
Infrared saunas, cryotherapy, ice baths, compression boots, red-light therapy – we’re becoming well versed in practices that can help to heal our body and mind. This year more holistic recovery techniques that integrate the principles of biohacking are going to become popular and more accessible. Things like bath salts and balms full of aromatics and botanicals that have been proven to alleviate everyday aches and pains and sooth the mind and body, tools such as Gua Sha that can boost your lymphatic system and incorporating magnesium into your daily rituals to help muscle recovery and promote sleep are some of the simple switches everyone can incorporate into an actionable wellness plan
